Description

The PERMAHOME® Bread Bow Knife is a serrated bread slicer built on a steel bow frame. The blade is held at both ends of the frame, which helps keep it steady and the cut straight when you work through a crusty loaf or a round of sourdough.

Features

  • Four guide marks on the frame, at 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and 1 inch, help you cut slices of an even thickness.
  • You choose the left-handed or right-handed position when you assemble it. A screwdriver, the screws and a Use & Care Guide with the assembly steps come in the box.
  • The handle sits above the line of the blade, which keeps your knuckles clear of the cutting board.
  • The blade is 3Cr13 stainless steel, the bow frame is 430 stainless steel with a 304 stainless steel tube component, and the handle is dyed hardwood.
  • The product images state "THICKER BLADE. STRONGER FRAME.", "Built to Help Resist Bending & Warping" and "3Cr13 Stainless Steel Serrated Blade, Finished Hardness: 50 HRC".
  • A blade cover protects the edge when you handle or store the knife, and the handle has a loop so you can hang it on a hook.
  • It comes in two handle colors, Black and Dark Coffee.

Care

Wash the knife by hand in warm water with mild soap, dry it thoroughly, and put the blade cover back on before you store it. Do not put it in a dishwasher and do not leave it soaking. For long-term storage, rub a small amount of food-grade rust-preventive oil on the metal surfaces. The blade is very sharp, so take care when you assemble, clean and store it. Use the knife only for slicing bread, pastries and other soft baked foods.
